Our Lady of the Snows Church

MJ Architectural Studios consulted with Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Bigfork, MN to address additional seating needs. During master planning it was determined to relocate the altar to the opposite end of the worship area to include overflow seating in the fellowship hall and access to restrooms.  A new gathering space was also designed to create a transition from the entrance to the worship and fellowship spaces for gathering before and after services.  In order for the altar to be relocated, the existing choir loft was removed and new transepts were created at each side of the altar to allow for additional fan-shaped seating and a place for choir and special musical groups. This project is scheduled for construction to begin late spring 2009.
